Violence results in the
ultimely death of many a breadwinner and head of the family. Leaving the families
helpless. The financial aid given by the Government and other agencies, are often
frittered away in a short time and the children are forced to discontinue their education
at a young age and fall into evil company. This offen leads to delinquency and Crime.
This Society take cares of those children to impart to them
knowledge and skills of some remunerative trade, which enable them to earn a decent living
and lead a respectable life. This is a registered Society with No. 7273/1999 . The
Society proposes to :
- Establish Industrial Training Institutes, Polytechnics and
Educational Institutions;
- Till such time the society is able to establish institutions
of its own, take the help of voluntary Society running such institutions and find
placement in them for these children;
- Run Hostels for such children;
- Support the educational efforts of such children through
monetary and material help; and
- Undertake all other activities to further the aims and
objectives of the society.
- Impart gainful Vocational Training .
- Take the help of Voluntary Societies and agencies to
find placements to these childrens.
NOTE ON THE ACTIVITIES ( upto 31.03.2001
)
This Society, which was established in
November 1999, has been working to bring succour to the teenage children. As the minimum
age requirement for obtaining a driving licence is 18 years, we have been concentrating on
the age group of 18 - 22 years. Till March 31, 2001 the Society has conducted three
vocational training programmes.
In the first training programme held
between February 07 and March 31, 2000, 23 boys of deceased policemen were given training
in driving three wheelers and cars and Maintenance Mechanism of these vehicles. On
completion of their training, they were provided with Professional Driving Licences and
First-Aid Certificates to enable them to get employment. 15 of these boys are already
gainfully employed. This programme was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Home Minister on
February 07 and the certificates were distributed by the Hon'ble Chief Minister on April
01, 2000. The Director General of Police, Andhra Pradesh met the entire expenditure on
board and lodge, uniforms and training fees of these boys and housed them at C.P.L.,
Amberpet during the training.
The second training programme in Motor
Cycle Mechanism conducted with the assistance M/s Hero Honda Motors Ltd. was inaugurated
by the Hon'ble Home Minister on August 08, 2000. 26 boys of deceased policemen were given
a week's training in theory by experts of M/s Hero Honda Ltd from Bangalore and were
attached with five city dealers in small groups for practical training for four weeks.
ReCAV also imparted training in Motor Cycle driving to enable them to get licences. A
final examination was conducted on September 20, 2000 in theory and practicals and 16 of
these boys came out successful. They were sent for advanced training to the Bangalore
training centre of Hero Honda for a week from October 08, 2000. After a brief vacation,
they were attached with Hero Honda dealers as probationary mechanics for 6 months from
November 01, 2000. For this progrmame, Director General of Police through Police Welfare
Fund met the expenditure involved on board and lodge, uniforms and housed the trainees at
CPL, Amberpet. M/s Hero Honda Motors through their dealers paid an amount of Rs. 41,000/-,
to meet the essential expenditure of the trainees like bus passes, personal expenses, etc.
His Excellency, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh distributed the certificates and Driving
Licences to 16 boys on December 15, 2000.
The third vocational training in Three
wheeler and Motor car driving for 20 boys started on February 19, 2001 and was inaugurated
by Additional. DGP., welfare and sports. Driving Licenses and Training Certificates
were distributed by Shri H.J.Dora , IPS, DG, Andra Pradesh on April 3, 2001.The
Society is greatful to H.E. the Governor of Andhra Pradesh for providing a grant of
Rs. 33,000/- for giving training to six(6) Children of civilians affected by Violence.
The following programmes are scheduled
from August 1, 2001 : 6 Months course in Diesel Machanism and Motor Car Driving 6
Months course for Medical Assistants 6 weeks course for Security Guards
Sponsorship from reputed automobile / motor
cycle manufacturing firms and philanthropic individuals are welcomed.
Income Tax Authorities have
issued the Certificate all donations made to the Society
from Income Tax. |
