An acknowledged security
expert of India, Dr.S.Subramanian served with
distinction in the Indian Police Service (1958 - 1992) and held
prestigious appointments like D.G. CRPF and NSG,
Founder-Director SPG, Director NPA, and in Intelligence Bureau,
CBI and Civil Police. He also served in diplomatic service as the Minister in E.O.I., Bonn
Germany (1986-89).
A Master of Arts in Economics, Master of Science in Criminal Justice
Administration from the NorthEastern University in Boston, USA and a Doctorate in Public
Administartion, he has authored several books and writes regularly in National Press on
Police and Security. |
Decorated with 'Padmashri' - a National Award for Distinguished Service and President's Police
Medal for Meritorious Service, he is, after retirement in January 1992, engaged in Public
Service and is associated with many NGOs and the UNCHR and ICRC in promoting Human
Rights.
