16.PEN SKETCH OF OUR CONTRIBUTORS |
FROM THE EDITOR
HAPPY
NEW YEAR 2002
We wish all our Readers and their Families a very Happy 2002. We Pray to
the Almighty to Bless them with Health, Wealth and Happiness in the year 2002
and the years to come.
We sent out in the last week of November 2001, with out Best Compliments,
a sleek Engagement Diary for 2002, to all our subscribers, CVOs and Life Members
of AAPSS. Trust the same has reached all of you.
Your Editor was invited to deliver talks in 5 PSUs during the
‘Vigilance Awareness Week’. He noticed great enthusiasm among all employees
and many innovative slogans on vigilance. We wish to publish these ‘New
Slogans’ for the benefit of all. May we request all of you to send these
slogans to us for publication?
Many vigilance departments are bringing out quarterly journals containing
very useful information and interesting articles. We feel that these are to be
shared with every one in the vigilance community. On our part we would be happy
to publish select items for the information of all and pay a token honorarium to
the original authors. May we request all the vigilance departments to forward to
us their Journals / Magazines. In this issue, we are publishing two short
articles taken from ‘In Touch – the Vigilance Journal of Oil India’.
Articles from our journals have also been re-published in the journals of some
vigilance departments.
We are happy to note that our appeal for articles is having a good
impact. We publish in this issue three of them. We would be very happy to
receive good case studies, which would explain to others the methods adopted in
solving difficult cases. We are convinced that this is the only way to share our
experiences with fellow vigilance professionals.
Association for Advancement of Police and Security Sciences organized a
Vigilance Training Programme titled ‘Workshop: A to Z of Vigilance’ from
November 19-24, 2001. 23 executives participated. In this issue we are
publishing the group photo taken on that occasion along with the names of the
participants. Details of our training programmes in 2002 are given in this
issue.
We once again appeal to all our Readers to make this journal financially
viable by taking out multiple subscriptions and giving us advertisements. We
shall ever remain thankful for this support.
