VIGILANCE PROFESSIONAL

INDEPENDENCE DAY  ISSUE

VOLUME I   NUMBER 3

JULY - SEPTEMBER 2001

FROM THE EDITOR

Monsoon has set in vigorously and there is joy everywhere.  During this quarter July -September, 2001 many important festivals are celebrated.  The Nation observes the Independence Day.  We wish all our Readers and their families health, wealth and happiness.

This is also an occasion for reflection.  Have we realised the dream of the Freedom Fighters to bring cheer to the `have nots' and ushered in an equitable and just Society?  Corruption has corroded the Nation and it is upto the Vigilance Professionals to fight this malady.   There is no need to feel helpless.  Each one of us can create islands of probity in our own environment and dispel the bloom and fight corruption.

We are happy to report that our three previous issues have been well received and acclaimed.  We are grateful for the encouragement and kind words and we rededicate ourselves to serve you better.  We once again appeal to all of you to enrich the Journal with your articles, case studies and other interesting features.  Only by sharing our experiences among others, we can build up expertise among Vigilance Professionals.

Our Publisher Association is facing heavy financial losses in bringing out this Journal.  As a Public Service Society, the financial resources of the Association are very meager.   We appeal to all of you to help us to tide over the crisis and nurture this Journal by providing financial support through multiple subscriptions and securing advertisements.   If each one of our present subscribers enroll an additional subscriber, our financial problems will get mitigated to a large extent.

This is your Journal and we are only publishing it on your behalf.  Please help us to serve you better.
